1. Purpose
TheBoom is a coordination platform for private events (the "booms"). It allows an organizer (the MC) to create a shared space for their crew: collaborative music selection, voting, social wall and collective memories.
By using TheBoom, you accept these Terms of Service.
2. MC role
The MC (Master of Ceremony) is the boom organizer. By creating a boom and inviting participants, the MC acts as a joint controller of the personal data of the participants they invite, under GDPR.
The MC agrees to:
- •Only invite consenting people
- •Obtain parental consent for participants under 15
- •Moderate content published in their boom
3. Prohibited content
The following content is strictly prohibited on TheBoom:
- •Harassment, threats, intimidation or defamatory content
- •Pornographic, violent or illegal content
- •Spam, unsolicited advertising or misleading content
- •Identity impersonation
- •Any infringement of third-party rights (copyright, privacy, etc.)
4. Liability
TheBoom is a content host under the French Digital Economy Trust Act (LCEN). TheBoom is not responsible for content published by users.
TheBoom does not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the service and reserves the right to interrupt the service for maintenance.
5. Moderation
The MC is responsible for moderating content published in their boom. They may remove any inappropriate content.
TheBoom reserves the right to remove any content reported as violating these Terms, and to suspend or delete accounts in case of repeated violations.
6. Termination and deletion
- •The MC may delete their boom at any time from the management area. This deletion entails the removal of all associated data.
- •Each participant may delete their account from their profile. Their personal data is deleted; their contributions (posts, votes) may be kept in anonymized form.
7. Governing law
These Terms are governed by French law. In case of dispute, the competent courts are those of Paris, except for mandatory consumer protection provisions.
